Recycled Water Facility
In April 2009, the PVWMA began delivering tertiary treated, disinfected recycled water into the Coastal Distribution System from the Watsonville Area Water Recycling Project. Expected to produce 4,000 acre feet per year of new water for Pajaro Valley agriculture, the launch of the the recycling project comes thanks to decades of of planning and cooperation between the PVWMA, the City of Watsonville and key stakeholder groups, as well as significant state and federal grant funding.
