ALBA -Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association

ALBA offers opportunities for farm workers and aspiring farmers to grow and sell crops from two organic farms in Monterey County. The stated goals are to advance economic viability, social equity and ecological land management among limited-resource and aspiring farmers; and to create greater economic opportunities for small farms while promoting ecological land management and healthy local foods.

 

Santa Cruz County Resource Conservation District

Provides conservation assistance to district property owners, cooperating agencies, organizations, groups, and units of government; and treats conservation problems on an individual, group, community, or watershed basis. This site includes many links to local, state and national conservation groups.

 

Monterey County Resource Conservation District

The RCD provides direct assistance to Monterey County farmers and landowners working with us voluntarily to protect their soil, water, and natural habitats.  The RCD also partners with agricultural and natural resource protection organizations and agencies throughout the Central Coast.
